Developmental assessments allow us to understand a child’s competencies and to design learning environments which will help a child grow to his or her developmental potential.
Assessments cover the following areas:
- Approaches to Learning
- Cognitive Thinking
- Physical Development
- Language and Literacy Development
- Social and Emotional Development
Within the first 30 days of your child’s first day an initial developmental assessment will be conducted using the Ages & Stages Questionnaire.
Bi-annual developmental assessments every October and May use the Teaching Strategies GOLD assessment system. The assessment information is transferred into the Pennsylvania’s Early Learning Network.
